Octyl butanoate
Octyl butanoate, also known as N-octyl butyrate or fema 2807, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as fatty alcohol esters. These are ester derivatives of a fatty alcohol. Octyl butanoate is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble in water, and relatively neutral.
